We continue our series of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013 warbirds with several aircraft from the Douglas Aircraft Company. The legendary aircraft manufacturer was already a leader in commercial aircraft development and a producer of naval military aircraft as World War II-era neared. Our featured aircraft include the SBD Dauntless of the Battle of Midway fame; DC-3/C-47 classic commercial and military transports; and post-war EA-1E Skyraider that went on to serve into the Vietnam War period.1942 Douglas SBD Dauntless from the Dixie Wing CAF
