Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015: Forums and Workshops

Fred Harl and Carmelo Turdo AirVenture Oshkosh 2015 offers opportunities for members and visitors to attend forums and workshops throughout the week.  In the true spirit of EAA's roots in the area of homebuilt aircraft, expert instruction is available for learning skills such as building wood wing ribs, covering aircraft with modern fabric and sealers, and welding in the workshops.  In the nearby forum pavilions, presentations are given on the history of various aircraft types, such as the DC-3, and historic events including the anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission.  There is something for everyone, and many homebuilders spend most of their time gaining and refining the skills they will need for the next portion of their aircraft projects back at their home chapters.  Here is a small sample of the forums and workshops we visited:
