EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015: Vietnam Veteran Honor Flight

http://www.airassociatesmo.com/tae/The tradition of honoring the nation's veterans continued at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015 with the annual parade on Friday and the day-long Honor Flight visit to Washington, D.C.  This year, the Honor Flight was a Yellow Ribbon Flight hosting 105 Vietnam War veterans.  The flight, arranged through Old Glory Honor Flight, brought the veterans the nation's capitol to visit the Vietnam Memorial Wall, the National Museum of American History and Arlington National Cemetery.  The American Airlines MD-80 was given a water cannon salute as it returned following the afternoon airshow, and the veterans were paraded through Boeing Plaza through a maze of Vietnam War era aircraft on display.  The following sequence of photos shows the arrival of the aircraft and the reception received by the Vietnam War veterans as they exited the plane.  The Aero Experience team adds our hearty "Thank You and Welcome Home."
