Cicare brings 50 years of production experience to the current light helicopter market. Their exhibit featured the Cicare 7T tandem, two-seat, light sport (European Ultralight Class) helicopter that is powered by a 115hp Rotax 914UL piston engine. Other models offered include the Cicare 8 and 12, both with a side-by-side seating arrangement that are also sold in kit form.
Enstrom Helicopter Corporation brought in their piston-powered F28F and turbine 480B models to their exhibit area. They arrived together the Sunday prior to the opening day, and they were available for public display all week. The turbine 480B was equipped with external sensors for the law enforcement mission.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security brought in their Airbus H120 used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection for aerial surveillance missions. The H120 offers high cruise speed, low-noise and excellent crew visibility and can be flown operationally with a single-crew member. It arrived on the Friday before opening day and was positioned inside the Federal Pavilion during the week.
