EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017: View from the Air

By Fred Harl
The scope of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 can be seen in part by taking a flight on the Bell 47 or other helicopters regularly plying the skies over the event grounds throughout the week.  The helicopters flying overhead are a part of the "Experience," and also part of our coverage each year.  This flight shows the takeoff point at Pioneer Airport, the EAA Museum campus, the Warbirds Area, Boeing Plaza, and a small portion of the parking and camping grounds.

Pioneer Airport and the EAA Museum have many aircraft on display inside the hangars, and also some outdoors during the week.  Included in the lineup are the Take Me Home Huey, Harlow PJC-2, Spartan Executive, Curtiss Robin, Waco UEC, Lesher Teal, Ercoupe and Douglas C-47 among others.
