Cape Girardeau Air Festival Preview: Blue Angels and Much More

By Carmelo Turdo
The Cape Girardeau Air Festival will open to the public tomorrow morning, and it will be an outstanding Midwest Aviation event this weekend! The Aero Experience team was again on site today to view the practice airshow as well as the exhibits and static displays that were arriving throughout the day. In our previous post, we featured the arrival of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Air Demonstration Squadron, and here we include some dramatic maneuvers from their performance. We also include Thom Richards flying the TP-40N American Dream; Joe "Rifle" Shetterly flying his RV-8; two A-10 Warthogs from Whiteman AFB flying a tactical demonstration; and the Tin Stix of Dynamite act with Skip Stewart, Gary Ward and Shockwave Jet Truck. There will be even more aerial entertainment this weekend, so we hope everyone will attend the airshow!

The Aero Experience thanks Cape Girardeau Regional Airport management, Cape Aviation, and all those who worked to prepare this great Midwest Aviation event. Their hospitality and professionalism made our visit enjoyable and productive.
