The Blue Angels Arrive for Cape Girardeau Air Festival

By Carmelo Turdo
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron arrived this morning for the Cape Girardeau Air Festival scheduled for this weekend. The six F/A-18C/D Hornets performed a tactical break over the airport and landed just before 10:00 A.M. The Aero Experience and local media were on hand to welcome them and visit with some of the ground crews as they serviced the aircraft before the afternoon orientation and practice flights. Later in the day, the six jets (No.7 substituting for No.5 Solo) flew some of their maneuvers featured below. The Aero Experience encourages everyone to attend the Cape Girardeau Air Festival, and we will have much more coverage coming soon following Friday's performer practice sessions.
