Nose Art - Personalizing Aircraft Revised

Nose art - an image or name emblazoned on an aircraft - is still alive and well after nearly a century of use.  Current examples follow the same general pattern as their predecessors, with colorful artwork and clever slogans whose meanings are not always apparent to the casual observer.  At airfields all over the Midwest, nose art can be be found on antiques, warbirds, homebuilts, and current military aircraft.  Here is a selection of some interesting nose art from aviation events over the last several years:
