Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

Aerial Artistry Comes Alive at American Waco Club Fly-In This Weekend

By Leo Cachat
Setting up the shot...
From the early days of flight, all things concerning aviation have become the subject of artistic interpretation.  Fanciful illustrations of aviators soaring over the earth before there were photographers, or even real aircraft for that matter, have been around for thousands of years.  Now that we have a healthy dose of Midwest Aviation to share with others, there are some choices available on how we present our subjects.  Each of us on The Aero Experience Team have our niche where our work shines - Carmelo on the flightline covering the ground operations and doing interviews, Mark getting spectacular flying shots from every angle and Fred up in an airplane somewhere covering a train yard or getting awesome air-to-air shots.  I take a close look at the environment and find a creative way to remember the moment and share it with our audience by using unusual angles and color variations.  This weekend's American Waco Club Fly-In at Creve Coeur Airport provided a great opportunity to capture images like these:
