EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013: Dreams of Summer Barbeque with The Cross-Country Cookout

With much of the U.S. enduring severe winter weather this first week of 2014, it seemed like a good time to reminisce about a time this past summer at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013 when the taste of barbeque warmed our hearts and filled our stomachs.  The anticipation of sampling some of that delicious smoked beef and pork had been building since those first, chilly weekend days when the 80-foot Ultimate Smoker and Grill was spotted parked on the airport grounds.  The History Channel Cross-Country Cookout had arrived, and was in action as the week of activity began to heat up.  The semi-trailer sized grill can cook a ton of meat at a time, and many visitors did their best to make it disappear.  The man behind the smoker, Pitmaster Trace "The Rib Whisperer" Arnold, can usually be found at the 3 Stacks Smoke and Tap House in Frisco, Texas.  The Aero Experience hopes that today's feature helps to make your winter world a little warmer and spicier!
