Kevin Kegin, from the airport's FBO, displayed his AT-6D Texan and Piper Cub and took The Aero Experience along on a flight around Salem, IL before the event began.
Visitors, including the Lewis & Clark Council Boy Scouts, checked out the variety of aircraft on static display and occasional fly-bys after the aircraft took off for their home airports:
The airport staff offered flights in their newly-acquired Cessna 172 for a small fee, and one of the Boy Scouts won a ride as well.
The Aero Experience thanks Salem-Leckrone Airport staff and all who hosted the event for their hospitality. Check back soon for more stories from the First Annual Airport Day this week.
