The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 airshow performers by featuring the U.S. Navy Super Hornet (East)Demonstration Team from VFA-106 based at NAS Oceana, VA. The Super Hornet airshows are flown by appointed instructor pilots, whose regular job is to train crews transitioning to the Super Hornet. The choice of aircraft is based on fleet availability, and at times they will use the single-seat F/A-18E or as in this case the two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet. We will include in this sequence some maneuvers that highlight the Super Hornet's high-G performance during the sunny afternoon Sunday airshow.
