EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018: Airshows - Yak-110
 |
By Fred Harl |
One of the most unique airshow performers of recent years is the Yak-110, flown by Jeff Boerboon who previously flew the Jack Links Screamin' Sasquatch Jet Waco. The one-of-a-kind aircraft began construction at the Dell Aero Speed Shop in Caldwell, ID in 2016 using two Yak-55 aircraft with the addition of a GE CJ-610 jet engine. It is flown from the left cockpit only, and, like it's jet/radial-powered cousin, combines grace, noise and power into an unforgettable aerobatic performance.
