EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018: Boeing Plaza - Tankers

The Aero Experience continues with our new series on the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 Boeing Plaza static displays with a look at the tankers previously featured in the airshow coverage. The unsung heroes of the tanker community were honored throughout the week as they demonstrated air refueling configuration in the air and visited with crowds who gathered to tour the aircraft. Included here are a KC-10A Extender from Travis AFB, CA; a KC-135R from the Wisconsin ANG based in Milwaukee; and an HC-130N from Patrick AFB, FL. The tankers are from Air National Guard and Reserve Units frequently deployed to support active-duty forces around the world.
