Veterans Advantage Urgent Care, located in midtown St. Louis, held their grand opening on Saturday. The center was open to visitors, and the ribbon was cut by Founder and Director Nicole Jenkins at 1:00 P.M. Also present for the ceremony were Director of Marketing and Public Relations Jennifer Cobb, Medical Director Dr. Joseph Yazdi, St. Louis 19th Ward Alderwoman Marlene Davis and special celebrity guest Richard Pryor, Jr. along with the donors and sponsors of this first-in-the-nation facility.
Veterans Advantage Urgent Care will provide specialty care for PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, pain management and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber treatment. The center is open daily and is adding staff to best serve veteran patients.
The Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation's F-4 Phantom cockpit mobile exhibit was on site for the grand opening, and many in attendance enjoyed posing for photos in one of the crew seats. Founder and President Joe Steimann, a former U.S. Air Force aircraft technician, visited with guests and presented personalized flight suits to Director Jenkins and Jennifer Cobb. Special thanks to Pat Theodore and Lt. Col. Tom Bishoff for assisting with the cockpit exhibit during the event.
