The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023 following our introductory post with another "high altitude" look at the aviation event of the year. Over the decades, AirVenture has evolved from a meeting of experimental aircraft builders to the international exposition it is today, and this year records were set for attendance and industry participation that will set the standard going forward.
This series is made possible by our sponsor, Piston Aviation, the area's newest and fastest-growing flight school and aircraft service provider located at Creve Coeur Airport. We appreciate the opportunity to work with the Piston Aviation team at their exhibit and their support for our extended coverage that will unfold in the coming months.
As EAA AirVenture Oshkosh has grown, so has one of the main attractions: the daily afternoon and the two night airshows. Here we include some airshow "outtakes" captured as we moved about the grounds each day. The first set below gives a more casual view of the aerial entertainment as seen from points of view off show center during the afternoon airshows.
The
highlight of the week for many attending EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023 was the
Saturday airshow experience - afternoon and night shows with a dinner break in
between. These aerial displays must be seen and heard to be believed,
especially during the glowing twilight hours with the large moon overhead. Here
we include a brief pictorial representing the variety of performers in their
element. The Saturday afternoon and night airshows will have their own coverage
coming later in this series.
