EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014: Homebuilts, Light Sport Aircraft and Ultralights

http://www.airassociatesmo.com/tae/EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 featured the aircraft originally at the heart of the organization - homebuilts, and their modern brethren light sport planes and ultralights.  There are a variety of models available, from the classic wood and fabric Pietenpol to the modern aluminum and carbon fiber designs.  Light sport aircraft are made in the U.S. and around the world, with a number of manufacturers in eastern Europe that have found success in the U.S. market.  Modern kit-built aircraft are quite sophisticated - they are produced with modern manufacturing methods and feature the latest in cockpit instruments and displays.  Ultralights have also reached a high level of refinement with increased safety.  The Aero Experience would like to share some views of the homebuilt, light sport and ultralight aircraft we saw last July:
