EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 featured a variety of Vietnam War-Era warbirds on static display and in the air each afternoon. The Aero Experience brings you this photo essay featuring aircraft of the period, ranging from Forward Air Control (FAC) aircraft like the Cessna O-1 and O-2 to the close air support Douglas Skyraiders and even the MiG-17 representing the opposing forces. The iconic Bell Helicopter UH-1 Huey from the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation is also prominently featured. A special thank you to our Vietnam War veterans and to those who keep these aircraft flying for current and future generations to experience!
