Convair 440 Walkaround - Locally Owned Convair Liner in St. Louis

St. Louis Downtown Airport is home to some unique aircraft, and this one stands out in size and shape. The Convair 440 Metroplitan has been parked on the West Ramp for over a decade (to 2024) and has become a landmark. The Aero Experience was given a special tour that included an inside view - a rare treat indeed. The aircraft continues to be a time capsule of 1950s-era air transportation in the age of larger and faster jets.
