Rare 1929 Parks P-1 Walkaround - Parks College of St. Louis University

By Carmelo Turdo
During a recent visit to the St. Louis University's Oliver L. Parks Department of Aviation Science flight operations hangar, we got a closer look at the historic Parks P-1. This aircraft was one of 45 produced starting in 1929 in Cahokia as a modified, license-built Kreider-Reisner Challenger using the reliable, but outdated OX-5 engine. The aircraft is restored to display status, and can be seen at special events at its St. Louis Downtown Airport home.
