Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

Looking Forward to the Cape Girardeau, MO Air Festival by Looking Back: 2006

By Leo Cachat
The Cape Girardeau, MO Air Festival is returning this year after a two-year absence from 2011 - 2012. I thought it would be nice to take a look back at a few of their previous shows in anticipation of what we might see at this year's show. I'll start with 2006. This show featured The Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, Skip Stewart, Paul "Hot Rod" Stender and his jet truck, Franklin's Flying Circus, the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles, and Bill Leff performing his night show among many others.  The A-10 Thunderbolt II performed and flew a Heritage Flight with a P-51 Mustang, and there was a great variety of warbirds on the ground and in the air. It was a very good show for a small market event.  Here are some scenes from this great Midwest Aero Experience:
