2015 Owensboro Airshow: Super Saturday Show

By Leo Cachet
We round out this year's coverage of the 2015 Owensboro Airshow with Saturday's great performers. The weather was much better this day, not perfect and with a threat of rain, but the sun was shining through the pillows of clouds streaming into the area.  The temperature was just about perfect, and this brought out the biggest crowds the Owensboro Airshow had ever seen - an estimated total for both Saturday and Sunday reaching around 50,000 people.  The rain held off until the Thunderbirds completed their last series of maneuvers and headed back to the airport.

Everyone in attendance was treated to a great show of world class flying by U.S. military aircraft, Canadian military aircraft and the best civilian aerobatic performers on the circuit.   Throw in the warbirds and you have as complete an airshow as you can have in a great friendly Midwestern city.  Many thanks to all the performers, and especially Tim Ross for the access he allowed The Aero Experience.  We look forward to returning next year for another great show. Well done Owensboro!
