Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Women With Wings St. Louis Holds Plane Wash Fundraiser at Creve Coeur Airport

By Carmelo Turdo
Members of Women With Wings St. Louis, a chapter of Women In Aviation International, held a plane wash today at Creve Coeur Airport to raise funds for aviation scholarships.  Aircraft were brought to the apron for washing at 9am, including several Cessna twins, an RV-12 and a 1932 Waco UBF.  A North American SNJ Texan was next in line as the crew took a break for the group photos and the airport's famous barbecue lunch.

Both Men and women can be members of Women With Wings St. Louis Chapter after joining Women In Aviation International.  The chapter's mission is to "Guide, support and encourage women in aviation."  The chapter promotes opportunities for women to participate in aviation through mentoring, professional career development, and direct assistance through scholarships and recurrent training in a positive atmosphere.

The Aero Experience was pleased to meet the chapter members at Creve Coeur Airport today and share these views of the plane wash:
