Elite Aviation Open House Features Variety of Aircraft, Highlights Flight Training Services

By Carmelo Turdo
Elite Aviation held their second annual public Open House at their Spirit of St. Louis Airport facility on Saturday. The all-day event featured a display of new-model aircraft from Textron Aviation (Cessna and Beechcraft brands), Elite Aviation Cessna 172 and Piper Turbo Saratoga training fleet aircraft, and other locally-based aircraft from experimental racers to World War II-era warbirds. Guests were treated to breakfast and lunch as well as to great live musical entertainment. Exhibitors from Trans States Airlines, Women In Aviation, and Civil Air Patrol were also available to offer information about participation in those organizations. The Elite Aviation staff were stationed throughout the event grounds to greet visitors, serve food, safely park the aircraft, and give introductory Test Flights. The full-motion Redbird MCX flight simulator was also available for demonstrations by Alpha Flight Simulation.

Elite Aviation's Open House provided an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand about their flight training program, view the training fleet and check out the latest Cessna 182 Skylane, Cessna 206 Stationair and Beechcraft Baron models. A Cessna Pilot Center, Elite Aviation provides a comprehensive flight training program using standardized curricula, late-model aircraft and advanced flight simulation capabilities. Elite Aviation also administers FAA examinations for pilot, A&P mechanic and drone certificates. Elite Aviation provides piston-engine aircraft maintenance services for individual and fleet operators in their Spirit of St. Louis Airport facility. The Monthly Speaker Series continues to grow in popularity, and student groups visit regularly to learn about flight and career opportunities in the aviation industry.

The Aero Experience coverage of the Elite Aviation Open House begins with this overview of the day's activities, including exhibitors, Elite Aviation fleet and Test Flights, Textron Aviation fleet display, other aircraft on display, and the departure of the World War II-era aircraft - Greg Vallero's AT-6 Texan and the Missouri Commemorative Air Force Grumman (General Motors) TBM-3E Avenger. We will have several additional stories featuring more coverage throughout the week.
