Missouri Commemorative Air Force Wing Continues Operations During Temporary Relocation

By The Aero Experience Team
The Missouri Wing of the Commemorative Air Force continues to educate the public about World War II-era aircraft through "Living History" flight experiences despite the necessity of relocating flight operations due to flooding at their St. Charles County Airport base. The wing's TBM-3E Avenger, B-25J Mitchell Show Me and Aeronca L-3E Lil' Show Me are temporarily based at St. Louis Downtown Airport in nearby Cahokia, IL to escape the major flooding currently experienced along the rivers in the St. Louis area. The wing intends to maintain their current appearance schedule at airshows and veteran appreciation events throughout the region. Check their flight schedule for your opportunity to view and fly in these magnificent warbirds.

Here we feature the TBM Avenger and B-25 Mitchell staging from St. Louis Downtown Airport for the short flight to the June 1 Elite Aviation Open House event at Spirit of St. Louis Airport. Two groups were flown in the B-25 Show Me that day. We also feature all three aircraft at St. Louis Downtown Airport, including local flights by the L-3 Lil' Show Me.
