Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum Gives Link D-4 Trainer a Workout

The Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum is making great progress in the restoration of its British Link D-4 instrument trainer.  The museum, located in historic Curtiss-Wright Hangar 2 at St. Louis Downtown Airport, has been restoring this early 1950s vintage equipment for a few years, and today technicians Doug Bent and Mike Scruggs tested the instruments and recent electrical system repairs.  The museum has this working D-4 trainer, as well as two additional older model 1940s Link trainers under restoration.  For more information, visit the museum's web site: http://www.airandspacemuseum.org/.  Also, the St. Louis Post Dispatch has published an article at http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/article_43f3e273-980c-5d01-897a-784af96942a6.html.
