Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012: Hanging Out With the Extended Family

By Fred Harl
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012 was above all a gathering of hundreds of thousands of my closest friends.  Most could be classified as just plane nuts, but many also came for the sheer spectacle of so much activity in one place.  There was a spirit of camaraderie and cooperation during the week that made it seem like a big reunion with the family members you actually like.  In this report, you can see some of the exhibits, people and other sights that would have caught the eye of nearly every visitor.  The Aero Experience Team is looking forward to covering another edition of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh this summer.
