Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

Special "Huey" Helicopter Makes Stop at Farmington Regional Airport

By Fred Harl
A very special Vietnam-era "Huey" helicopter made a fuel stop at Farmington Regional Airport recently - Bell UH-1H s/n 70-16369 - from the American Huey 369 Organization.  This 501(c)3 non-profit group has lofty ambitions, namely to preserve the history of the Bell "Huey" helicopter through the establishment of The National American Huey History Museum.  Currently, the group meets at the Montgomery Aviation FBO Hangar 11 at the Grissom Aeroplex in Peru, Indiana.  Two airworthy helicopters participate in patriotic events around the country, and may be coming to an aviation event near you.  For more information, please visit the above link and consider a donation in support of this worthy Midwest Aviation endeavor.
