Arion Lightning LSA Well Represented at Midwest LSA Expo

The Arion Aircraft LS-1 Lightning was well represented at the recent Midwest LSA Expo, with three aircraft on hand for display and demo flights.  The Lightning, which began as a new kit aircraft designed and first produced between 2004 and 2006, was transformed into an LSA by 2009.  In about 500 hours, and at a base price of $120,000, the builder can turn fiberglass and steel into a 190mph speedster, or 120mph compliant light support aircraft.  Arion Aircraft representatives were active showing off their aircraft and giving flights to potential customers - the kind of aggressive marketing needed in these economic conditions.  For more information, please visit http://www.flylightning.net/index.html.  Here are some views of the Lightnings at the Expo:
