Piper Week, Part 4: Piper Aircraft Remain a Staple of General Aviation

By Carmelo Turdo
The Aero Experience continues our Piper Week mini-series with Part 4, the Piper aircraft in use by general aviation aircraft owners and operators around the St. Louis area. As illustrated in the previous installments in this series, Piper Aircraft types produced as far back as the 1940s are not only still in use, but some of them are still in production or have been re-invented in more powerful and modern forms by other manufacturers (i.e. Cub variants). In this survey, we feature Piper Aircraft types encountered during our story coverage this year.
