EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019: Boeing Plaza - U.S. Forest Service Shorts Sherpa

The Aero Experience continues our coverage of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, sponsored by Elite Aviation, with more aircraft on display in Boeing Plaza. Here we feature the U.S. Forest Service's SD3-60 Shorts Sherpa. This aircraft is used to transport smoke jumpers, other personnel and cargo to wildfire hotspots. The high visibility paint scheme and open cargo door attracted attention during its time in the plaza, and here one is shown as it was prepared for departure.
