Gateway Flight Training Student Pilot Inspires Next Generation of Aviators

By Carmelo Turdo
Deven Mahale, 17, a student pilot at Gateway Flight Training, has a message for the next generation of aviators: Go for it! Mahale, a high school senior, is getting a head start on his aviation career by taking flight training and preparing for his college aviation program. He recently soloed in the school's Piper Tomahawk and will move up to the Piper Warrior for the remainder of his Private Pilot Certificate training. The Aero Experience met with Deven Mahale, his parents Aneesh and Kay Mahale, and his Certified Flight Instructor Tony Jestis during a recent visit to Gateway Flight Training. The video included below is an inspiring look at a young aviator beginning his journey to a high-flying career.
