Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

American Waco Club Fly-In Participants Gather at Creve Coeur Airport for Weekend Festivities

By Carmelo Turdo
Participants in the 2014 American Waco Club Fly-In have begun to gather at Creve Coeur Airport near St. Louis from all over the country in preparation for this weekend's festivities.  The annual event is again being held at Creve Coeur Airport, home of the renowned Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum and several world-class antique aircraft restoration businesses.  Club members may participate in social and professional development activities, including forums on spruce woodworking and radial engines on Friday and free flight reviews.  Another club ritual, the breakfast fly-out to Aero Estates Airport in nearby Belleville, IL is scheduled for Saturday morning.  The Aero Experience will be covering the event all weekend, beginning with this preview from midday today:
