Midwest Airport Fun Days Event Shares Variety of Aviation Opportunities With Visitors
By Mark Nankivil
Midwest Airport Fun Days began weekend activities today at St. Louis Downtown Airport near the Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum. The event, sponsored by the museum and supported by Ideal Aviation, Jet Aviation, Parks College of St. Louis University, Ozark Air Services and other area businesses, brings area resources together to encourage our visitors to explore aviation opportunities. Aircraft of the World War II era were on display, along with aircraft from local flight schools, exhibits from local aerospace education organizations and unique items at the museum. Aerobatic pilot Patrick McAlee flew several passes for the crowd. Although rain curtailed some afternoon activities, there is a full schedule of events planned for tomorrow.
