Bob Carlton is a multi-talented airshow performer and real rocket scientist noted for flying his jet-powered Super Salto sailplane with Vertigo Airshows. He has performed at the Fair St. Louis daily airshows in recent years, and it was great to also see his night routine at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013. Carlton also flew the SubSonex home-built aircraft as well, showing the plane's spritely performance in multiple passes across the show line. Here are some views of the SubSonex exhibit and flight demonstration followed by the Super Salto night show.
