Greetings from The Aero Experience Team

The Aero Experience is a celebration of Midwest aviation and aerospace achievement. We invite you to join us as we explore the treasures of Midwest aviation through first-hand experiences. Our contributors take turns flying lead, and we are always looking for new destinations. Check in with The Aero Experience frequently to see where we will land today, and then go out and have your own aero experiences!

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013: More Warbird Performers - Tigercat, Mustang, and Stearman

Fred Harl and Carmelo Turdo conclude our series on World War II-era warbirds flying during the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013 daily airshows (more special warbird coverage is still to come) with four well-known performers.  First we will feature Steve Hinton, Sr. in the Grumman F-7F-3N Tigercat, the U.S. Navy's first twin-engine fighter of the era that entered service just after World War II ended.  Next will come Scott Yoak in his P-51D Mustang, "Quick Silver."  We conclude with Greg Shelton flying his Boeing N2S-3 450hp Super Stearman with Ashley Battles on the wings.  All four performers are multi-talented pilots with thousands of hours in many aircraft types, and who are also accessible and appreciative of their audiences.  The Aero Experience shows our appreciation by providing these views of their flying talent to our audience:
